My name is Jim He, and I’m currently a senior at Springfield Commonwealth Academy. I have a passion for drawing and dancing, but my journey with diabetes has shaped much of who I am today. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 5, I’ve lived with the condition for 13 years. My grandfather passed away due to diabetic ketoacidosis, and my grandmother has type 2 diabetes. These experiences deeply impacted me and inspired me to start the Benetnasch Diabetes non-profit organization.
